Wattpad Annouces iPad-Optimized App
Wattpad, the eBook-based social network, sounded what’s likely to be a very, er, popular note yesterday, announcing an iPad-optimized version of its iPhone app. Wattpad says the optimized app will be available concurrently with the iPad launch at the end of March.
Ivan Yuen, CTO of Wattpad, said “No doubt Apple has created a game changer for ebooks,†though, of course, there is a great deal of doubt as to whether the fact that iPad users will not be able to read eBooks not bought through Apple in iBooks means iPad is just more business as usual.
