WaPo appears confused over the cost of President Obama‘s new jobs bill.
On Friday, it was $474 billion (“Obama takes jobs-bill fight to Cantor,” p. A4); it was also $447 billion (Economists on Obama jobs plan: Something’s missing”, p. A12) or “nearly 450 billion” (More piled onto deficit committee’s heavy load”, p. A1).
And today, on p. 2 “By the Numbers,” it’s $4.47 billion.
Perhaps WaPo Executive Editor Steamed Marcus Brauchli needs to order the Copy Desk into seclusion for conga line-type trust exercises. The price tag on the bill: $447 billion.
