Landmark West! [sic yet again], the irascible folks behind the continued 2 Columbus Circle saga (i.e. the gift that keeps on blogging), are offering architectural walking tours of the Upper West Side and Central Park. Below, oh the places you’ll go and the buildings you’ll see.
Sites along the way will include such landmarks as the Ansonia Hotel (Paul E.M. Duboy, 1899-1904), the Belleclaire Hotel (Emery Roth, 1901-03) and the Apthorp Apartments (Clinton & Russell, 1906-08), as well as buildings included on LW’s landmark designation “wish list” including the Level Club (Clinton & Russell, 1927), the former Dakota Stables (Charles W. Romeyn, 1885) and the First Baptist Church (George Keister, 1894).
