WABC-TV's Heidi Jones Officially Charged in Faking Story of Attack
WABC-TV/Channel 7 weather forecaster Heidi Jones was in a courtroom today being formally charged with falsely telling police that she was attacked in Central Park.
The Daily News reports she stood silently while prosecutors told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Lynn Kotler that Jones faces two misdemeanors–punishable by up to one year in prison.
In her revised statement to police on December 13, Jones opened up about her allegedly faking the story.
