Video ringtone pioneer Vringo has come out with version 2.0 of its application and added support for a wide variety of Symbian and J2ME handsets.
Vringo 2.0, which includes a complete makeover, boasts a new mobile browser that’s supposed to make it “easier, quicker and more fun” to find and share video ringers. There’s also a new visual interface with thumbnails and previews to make it easier to manage your ringtone collection.
The upgrade enables high-quality video, lets users record and share their own ringtones using their phone’s camera and adds VringForward, a new type of ringback that lets users select the ringtones their friends will see as well hear when they call.
The Vringo 2.0 app is available now for Symbian and Java devices; a version for Windows Mobile is due later this month.
