Vivox to Give Facebook a Voice

Vivox wants to give Facebook users a voice, literally. The Boston-based integrated-voice-service provider, which already works with virtual worlds Second Life and EVE Online, is beta-testing a high-fidelity voice service for the social-networking site, CNET reported.

Once users download Vivox’s plug-in, the service should work seamlessly with Facebook, and it can handle one-to-one chat or large group discussions, according to CNET. Vivox also plans to offer free dial-in numbers that will allow non-Facebook users to join an existing conversation.
