DIC Entertainment, whose children’s shows include Inspector Gadget, Madeline, Horeseland, Dino Squad, Liberty’s Kids and several others, is going mobile with the help of Vivendi Entertainment.
Under the deal, DIC will make full-length episodes available on cell phones and start to offer ringtones, video ringers and mobile wallpapers based on its programming, Mobile Marketer reports.
“Our audience is young and tech-savvy,” DIC’s VP of interactive and new media Frederic Soulie said in the article. “Very often, they are are early adopters of new technology. Having our content available on cell phones, iPods or other mobile devices is key for DIC to continue to grow and expand our audience.”
