Vitrue's Facebook 'Wall Apps' Extend Fan Reach For Marketers

Virtrue LogoIf you’re an online marketer and your Facebook application just isn’t generating much fan engagement, Vitrue’s powerful ‘Wall Apps’ tool just may be what you need. Wall Apps is a new feature that’s part of Vitrue’s existing SRM (Social Relationship Manager) software suite.

SRM works by “delivering applications” to a Facebook fan’s news feed, which the company’s research gives brands 110 times more reach over just using a Tab for a Facebook app. The self-serve interface offers applications in the categories of engagement, media, social and direct marketing. Example applications include coupons, polls, quizzes, causes, slideshows, audio/ video playlists, events, email acquisition and more.

Some features of Wall Apps include:

  • Authoring and scheduling of posts in advance.
  • Facebook Wall moderation.
  • Exportable metrics that include per-post measurement of data such as clickthrough, Like, comments, media plays (e.g., video), and number of shares.
  • A single dashboard for managing Facebook and Twitter accounts.

A snapshot of sample application is shown above. Just seeing Vitrue’s demo videos shows you how valuable a marketing tool the SRM suite can be, especially with Wall Apps. The SRM suite consists of three components: Social Publisher, Social Planner, Social Insights. See this video on their Facebook wall to learn more about SRM online marketing features, which includes a Facebook video player that allows click-through to other pages or applications and a means to create an “integrated Twitter experience.” To see some of the features of Wall Apps, watch this video. A similar Facebook marketing tool, Sprout Publisher, allows Page admininstrators to create interactive content, which is then published to users’ streams. Vitrue SRM allows companies or social media consultants to manage campaigns. Campaign costs start at US$0.015 per fan.

Facebook’s own statistics suggest that users fan four pages per month, on average, times over 400 million users, giving brand marketers a lot of potential to engage fans. According to Vitrue CEO Reggie Bradford, use of their SRM product has resulted in 22M fans (aggregated for all business partners) compared to 1M a year previous.
