Village Voice Rolls Out First Film Issue

Latest themed edition follows similar recent ones dedicated to Fashion and Education.

French actress Isabelle Huppert has a pair of films at this year’s New York Film Festival, which runs Sept. 30-Oct. 16. She’s also on the cover of this week’s edition of The Village Voice, heralding the 61-year-old publication’s first-ever Film Issue.

The Voice is an active sponsor of the 54th edition of the NYFF, helping underwrite the opening night party at Tavern on the Green and Sunday’s U.S. premiere screening of Jim Jarmusch’s Paterson. From today’s press release:

“Our inaugural Film Issue and partnership with the iconic New York Film Festival marks The Village Voice’s official celebration of the film industry and its importance to our audience and the city of New York,” says Village Voice publisher Suzan Gursoy.
