These days, whether you're a marketer, media personality or just someone with a voice and an opinion, you've probably thought about starting a podcast.
But how can you be sure that you're setting your audio efforts on the right course before getting started?
We talked to Brooklyn-based Gimlet Media, which produces a wide range of shows including Startup, Reply All and a branded podcast for eBay.
"From the outside, podcasts look like they are really easy to create—like stick a microphone in front of someone and have them talk—but in fact the really great ones have a strong point-of-view, are highly produced, highly edited," said Matt Lieber, co-founder and president of Gimlet Media.
