Video chat has been big for a while now, but with the launch of Google Plus’ Hangout and Facebook’s Skype integration, the buzz around the “Alive Web” is bigger than ever.  A new infographic from Column Five Media and Rounds compares the top players in the video chat game.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term ‘The Alive Web’, it was coined by Om Malik of GigaOM earlier this year.  The term refers to the fact that these days the web is coming alive, with addictive and fun social apps and sites that let you experience the online world in a setting that is “like being in a club—part of an ever-changing visage, a canvas painted in real time.”
