Vargas & Woodruff Take The Helm
Beginning in a few hours, we’ll get a glimpse of the new face of ABC World News Tonight. The first sign of the new pairing of Elizabeth Vargas and Bob Woodruff will be at 3 p.m. on the network’s webcast (preview here). Even as the network news is preempted in some locations for College Bowl games, Woodruff will be reporting from Iran.
Woodgas is, Peter Johnson reminds us, the first dual anchor team since the ill-fated Dan Rather/Connie Chung experiment in the 1990s.
