Use Your iPhone For Skin Cancer Exam

In a move to help people detect skin cancer early, The University of Michigan has created a new iPhone app that lets you give yourself a skin cancer exam. The UMSkinCheck app helps people who are at risk for skin cancer to track growths or potential pre-cancers using frequent photos and exams.

Using the app is simple. Following its guide, you begin by taking a quiz to determine your risk level for skin cancer. Then you take 23 photos of different parts of your undressed body under bright lights.
