USA Today Adds Nook and Sony Data to Best Selling Books List

Since 1993, USA Today has compiled a weekly list of best selling books, published every Thursday. This list is based on sales data the paper collects from retailers. As of July 2009, the list factored in Kindle eBook sales. As of today, the paper has added data from Barnes & Noble and Sony to represent sales on the Nook and Sony Reader.

While the key at the top of the list does show an abbreviation (“E”) for eBooks on the list, that is only used for eBook-only books, or, it would seem, books whose ranking depends on the eBook edition, of which there are very few on the list, understandably.
