UPDATE: Weymouth's Meeting Today
We first told you yesterday about Katharine Weymouth’s appearance at this morning’s washingtonpost.com All-Company Breakfast.
We hear that it was not terribly newsworthy. No timetable is in place for when “changes” will start and she stressed that all the washingtonpost.com staffers were “great people” and that she hopes they’ll stay. She acknowledged the difficulties that the company is currently going through but expressed confidence that they’ll get through it a-okay.
She and Washington Post Company VP Chris Ma avoided the use of the word “merger,” suggesting that that’s not exactly what the future holds.
So, in other words, if you were looking for closure, you didn’t get it.
