Update: NBC Goes for Gold With Analysts
NBC announced today that its roster of commentators for the Summer Olympic Games coverage will include 28 former Olympians who won a combined total of 42 medals.
As expected, Bob Costas will return for his seventh stint as prime time host of an Olympics, and his eighth Games overall. And Jim Lampley will be working his record 14th Olympics (several of those were with ABC before he joined the NBC team). Olympic Gold Medalist in wrestling, Rulon Gardner, will be making his Olympic commentator debut.
