UFC Gives Its Tweeting Fighters A $5,000 Twitter Bonus

The UFC is making good on its promise to reward its tweeting fighters – by giving out $5,000 prizes to a dozen fighters who have proven to be champs in the ring and in 140-characters or less.

Back in May, UFC president Dana White pledged to put more emphasis on Twitter. He announced that the organization would pay their fighters to tweet, rewarding them quarterly with $5,000 prizes in several categories.

The first period in this great Twitter experiment ended on September 1st, and just this week the winners of the first ever batch of UFC Twitter prizes were announced.
