After a successful initial release of The Smurfs & Co. on Facebook in 2011, the game slowly lost players and was finally shuttered in favor of a new and improved experience: a second Smurfs simulation game.

Ubisoft’s The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound is a sequel of sorts to the original game, which launched on Facebook in July. The game is already heating up the Facebook app charts, gaining almost 1 million players in the last seven days alone, according to our app tracking service AppData.

The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound takes players back into the world of those adorable blue Smurfs, which has been destroyed after Gargamel’s latest potion literally blew up in his face.
