Tyler Perry Billboard Vandalized

Just in case there was any doubt as to how little overlap there is between the general Silver Lake populace and the target demographic of Tyler Perry movies, “Xpo Terrorist” has brought the point home.

The above billboard, inscribed with the plaintive plea ‘Stop letting him make movies,’ sits at the corner of Fountain Ave. and Landa Street. For those unfamiliar with LA, we’re talking smack-dab in the middle of a proudly Bohemian burgh, where the music conservatory is owned by Flea and the nearby middle school has an environmental magnet.

The prolific Perry’s latest offering, in which he stars as a married businessman who crosses paths with a struggling single-mom cleaning lady (Thandie Newton), opens Friday.
