Periscope, the live-streaming app owned by Twitter, has named Evan Hansen its editor in chief. Hansen most recently served as editor of the blogging platform Medium.
Prior to his time at Medium, Hansen served as Wired’s editor in chief for seven years.
“I still love the written word and Medium, but I honestly can’t think of many things more exciting than helping build a new platform with mobile phones and real time video,” wrote Hansen, in an announcement.
