Twitter’s new “While you were away” feature is rolling out now to all users of its Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for iPad apps, and will appear on Android devices and Twitter.com soon.
“While you were away” gives users a recap of some of the top or most popular tweets from accounts that they follow that they might have missed while they were away from Twitter.

If you check in on Twitter now and then for a quick snapshot of what’s happening, you’ll see this recap more often; if you spend a lot of time on Twitter already, you’ll see it less.
