Is Twitter’s co-founder Jack Dorsey trying to send subliminal messages to potential voters?
Dorsey has expressed interest in running for public office before and now he’s telling folks how important it is for leaders to understand tech. Coincidence? I think not!
Dorsey didn’t take questions, but he did have a bit to say, including his opinion that “there needs to be more leaders who understand how to use technology . . . [because] technology can change governments, not just disrupt them.”
This is of particular interest because during his interview on 60 Minutes with Lara Logan last month, Dorsey spoke of spending time in the big city when he was 19, his plans to move back to the city in the future and that he’d like to run for mayor of New York City one day.
And he’s obviously serious about it.
What do you think of his assertion though? Should more leaders be tech savvy? Would THAT make the world a better place or would they just waste too much time online like the rest of us?
