First, create content that generates interactions for your followers, then gradually introduce your product offers. Keep your tweets simple, so followers know exactly what you want them to do – try a limited discount offer, and make sure there’s a clear call to action (CTA).
Twitter actually recommends that you avoid using any hashtags and @mentions in offers so as not to distract your customers.
Another good sales-driving tactic is what Twitter defines as “flock to unlock” – tell your followers that you’ll release a discount or other kind of exclusive offer if a tweet receives a predetermined number of retweets. And once the offer is unlocked, keep the momentum going by retweeting positive mentions from followers.
