Twitter Rolling Out Local Trends

Twitter is in the process of launching another feature based on its geo-location functionality, as the microblogging service started rolling out Local Trends, which tailors its Trending Topics data to users’ locations, Mashable reported.

According to Mashable, 15 cities are supported thus far, and Twitter is targeting a full rollout sometime next week, barring any setbacks.

Twitter told Mashable:

We’re rolling out local trends to 1% of users today, but we’ll share more information when it reaches a larger audience hopefully sometime next week.
