Twitter Poised To Scrap #Music App After 'Abysmal' Downloads

Do you use Twitter’s Music app?

Do you even know what it is?

No? You’re not alone. Launched back in April to some fanfare, Twitter Music, which promised to “change the way that people find music”, hasn’t quite lived up to that initial promise, and could be quietly phased out ahead of next month’s IPO.

Launching on iOS, Twitter Music saw some initial popularity before losing 62 percent of its audience in May, and has continued to free fall ever since, racking up “abysmal” numbers of downloads and an equally low engagement rate, reports AllThingsD, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Ouch.
