Twitter Kit 3 Brings Improved Sharing, Authorization to App Developers

Twitter Kit originally launched as a component of the social network’s Fabric, platform

Twitter announced the release of Twitter Kit 3, the newest version of its Twitter Kit software-development kit for application developers.

Twitter Kit originally launched as a component of the social network’s Fabric, platform, and product manager Ben Ward detailed the SDK’s new features in a blog post:

Users can share links, images and videos directly via iOS apps—even if they don’t have Twitter installed—with Twitter Kit 3’s rewritten composer, which will be released for Android “soon.”

A revamped authorization process enables users to easily choose between accounts they have authorized in third-party Twitter apps, with integrated support for request emails and permission to read direct messages.
