Twitter Just Debuted a Way to Make Live Video Look More Professional

Will it attract more TV players, YouTubers?

Do you tend to drop off livestreams when the picture quality seems lacking? Twitter hopes to have a solution for that problem, and it's aimed at viewers and brands alike.

The microblogging network's new Periscope Producer lets marketers broadcast better quality footage using their external cameras and software. It works for livestreaming via Periscope, the Twitter-owned app, and Twitter's other properties. Previously, livestreaming entities on those platforms had to use their phones' cameras and Twitter's built-in software.

The move should transform livestreamers from teleporting amateurs to pro broadcasters in terms of what they produce.
