Flight, Twitter's First Mobile Developer Conference, Launches Today

Twitter’s first conference for mobile developers, called Flight, will take place today, October 22nd, in San Francisco.

Doors open at 9am PST, and Twitter CEO Dick Costolo (and “key team members”) will officially kick off proceedings with his keynote an hour later.

Technical sessions are scheduled to take place from 11am through until 5pm, including how to build better apps with Crashlytics, tips on driving app downloads through Twitter and how to monetize your apps with Twitter’s MoPub.

Attendees can meet and mingle at Product Pods, and the Lightning Theatre will host shorter talks about Twitter data, the company’s open source objectives, and more.

“Flight is a gathering built by developers, for developers,” says Twitter. “You’ll feel right at home if you live, breathe and occasionally dream in Java, Objective-C, or Swift. Following the morning keynote, you’ll dive into a series of technical sessions and cap off the day with a great happy hour where you can meet and mingle with Twitter’s engineering team.”
