Twitter’s Fiction Festival kicked off today. Have you been following along? We’ll tell you a bit more about it after the jump.
But the big news to know right now is this: If you live in the New York area, you may want to join the live Twitter Fiction event this Saturday. It’s being held at the New York Public Library and promises to be a great networking opportunity for writers (and readers!).
Twitter announced its Fiction Festival participants yesterday – and what a lineup it is!
After selecting a panel of judges, Twitter (and the judges) reviewed entries from 20+ countries and selected an array of storytelling projects, which they’re calling “Twitter experiments.”
Beyond all of that though, probably the event to watch is the one happening in real life this Saturday. For although Twitter is great, nothing beats matching faces to Twitter handles (it ranges from fascinating to wildly disappointing – but is never boring).
So here’s your invitation New Yorkers (or New York visitors) to mingle with like-minded readers, writers, storytellers, media people, publicists and folks just there for the free food (we assume there will be snacks).
If you attend, please tweet us some pics!
