Twitter Votes 'Adorkable' Into The Dictionary

The votes are in, and Twitter has voted “Adorkable” – a portmanteau which blends “adorable” with “dork” (i.e., Zooey Deschanel) – into the Collins English Dictionary.

You only have yourselves to blame.

Still, it could have been worse. Adorkable, with 30 percent of the overall vote, beat out “Felfie” (a farmer selie), “Fatberg” (a large mass of solid waste, grease, etc, clogging a sewage system), “nomakeupselfie” (a selfie of a woman without make-up, posted online to raise awareness for a charity), “gaybourhood” (a gay-friendly neighbourhood) and a bunch of other words that I’m not sure anyone has ever really used, ever.
