Twitter has added Bret Taylor to its board of directors. Taylor most recently served as CEO of the productivity software company Quip.
Taylor previously founded FriendFeed, which Facebook acquired in 2009. Taylor joined Facebook as its chief technology officer as a result of the deal. Taylor was with Facebook until 2012.
“Bret brings to our board a great mind for consumer products and technologies that will be invaluable to the company as we execute our plans for 2016 and beyond,” said Twitter’s executive chairman Omid Kordestani, in a statement.
