Turner Sports, Speed Channel Team Up on NASCAR on Speed
Turner Sports reached a deal with a cable network outside of its stable, teaming up with News Corp.’s Speed Channel to launch Web-video channel NASCAR on Speed, Mediaweek reported.
NASCAR on Speed will be branded as Speed Channel and feature talent from the auto-racing network, even though Turner’s TBS and TNT cover NASCAR events.
According to Mediaweek, series on NASCAR on Speed will include Speed’s Race & Chase Preview, in which current NASCAR drivers including Michael Waltrip and Greg Biffle preview the next race, and post-race analysis show Lane Fan Finish.
