The Tribune Co. has struck a deal with A.H. Belo to sell national print and online ads for The Dallas Morning News.
“We are going to take advantage of what we have built as a company to give advertisers access to the top markets in the U.S.,” Don Meek, president of Tribune365 National Solutions Group, told the Los Angeles Times. “You add Dallas to Chicago and Los Angeles and you have three of the top five markets in the country.”
The Morning News formed the alliance to broaden its reach and become more appealing to advertisers based outside of Dallas, said John McKeon, the Morning News’ president and GM.
Tribune will maintain one centralized system for advertisers looking to buy across the properties.
