Did you make a good choice in choosing to study PR or communications in college? The U.S. Department of Labor says yes.
In their report, the “Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-11 Edition,” the department says the PR job market, “is expected to grow 24 percent from 2008 to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations.”
Currently the industry employs 275,200, a figure which is projected to grow to 341,300 by 2018. In their year end report published today, U.S. News and World Report calls PR Specialist, “one of the 50 best careers of 2010.”
