The latest list of popularly pirated eBooks shows that Amazon’s post-Christmas honeymoon has come to a close. Every couple weeks I like to look at the I’m not looking to get the content; I prefer to buy my eBooks (or download legally free copies). No, I use this as a way to gauge what people are reading.
It’s actually been close to a month since I checked last, and not much has changed.
- 7 Weeks to 50 Pull-Ups: Strengthen and Sculpt Your Arms, Shoulders
- Do Not Open: An Encyclopedia of the World’s Best-Kept Secrets
- Windows 7 Secrets
- 1,001 Facts that Will Scare the S#*t Out of You
- 7 Weeks to 100 Push-Ups: Strengthen and Sculpt Your Arms, Abs, Chest
When I last looked, 4 of the 5 titles were the same, and the 5th title was a several GB collection of Kindle ebooks. As you can see, that bundle is gone and it has been replaced by a how-to eBook for Windows 7. I’m not surprised; this list has usually been dominated by exercise manuals, tech manuals, and sensationalist titles like the ones above.
But the fact that the Kindle bundle is gone tells me that the post Christmas bubble has settled down. We probably won’t see that bundle on this list again – not until Amazon releases another Kindle, at least.
