The National Press Club will award its first ever “Crawlin’ Kingsnake Trophy” to the winner of Monday night’s “battle of the bands” between Bob Schieffer and his band, Honky Tonk Confidential, and Tony Snow and his band, Beats Workin.’
“Believe me, it’s a trophy worth fighting for,” said Press Club President Jerry Zremski, who added: “Well, if you want to find out the significance of the Crawlin’ Kingsnake Trophy, you’ll have to buy a ticket.” Tickets to the May 14 event, “Honky Tonk Meets the White House Wonk,” are $50 for Press Club members and their guests and $60 for the general public; $37.50
