To Do Tonight

From the release:

The press played a major role in the emergence of the civil rights movement, but it took time, guts and talent to develop. Gene Roberts, a Pulitzer Prize-winning editor, and Hank Klibanoff, managing editor of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, discuss press coverage of the civil rights movement at a National Press Club Book Rap, in cooperation with the Newseum, on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served before the program.

Outside books are not allowed; however, people who purchased the book at the NPC Book Fair and had it autographed by Klibanoff may bring their copy for Roberts’ signature.

Admission is free and open to the public. Reservations are required. Please contact: opus@press.org or (202) 662-7129.
