TiqIQ on iOS Gives Users Discounts on Live Event Tickets

The app allows users to earn greater ticket discounts as they continue to use the app.

TiqIQ, a ticket aggregator and search engine for live events, has announced the launch of its mobile app on iOS devices. The app allows users to browse tickets for concerts, broadway shows, sporting events and more, and utilizes a points reward system to offer discounted tickets.

With TiqIQ, users can browse nearby featured events based on event date or category (sports, music or ‘other’). Users swipe right on an event to favorite it and subscribe to updates about the event (while also favoriting the artist / team), or swipe left to dismiss the event. If users are interested in purchasing tickets for an event, they tap to view a complete list of ticket options, sorted by price, and can filter their results to a particular seating area or price range, among other options. If tickets are too expensive, users can set an alert to be notified when or if the price drops below their desired amount.

In addition to browsing featured events, users can view all events of a single type, like theater performances or college sports events, as examples. On top of favoriting artists or teams by swiping right on featured events, users can flag these performers as favorites by tapping on heart icons while browsing elsewhere. These favorites are listed on each user’s profile, allowing them to browse all upcoming events for a particular team or artist.

The TiqIQ app utilizes the IQ Rewards Platform, a loyalty program which allows users to earn up to 10 percent off IQ Certified Tickets from TiqIQ’s own network of sellers. For the app’s launch, TiqIQ has activated these discounts on tickets from over 300 sellers, which have collectively listed over $250 million of ticket inventory. The more users interact with the app, the more points they earn, which corresponds to a greater discount.

In a statement, Jesse Lawrence, founder and CEO of TiqIQ, commented:

With the TiqIQ app, we’re bringing true transparency and the most competitive prices to fans directly on their phone. The more they use the app to do things like track deals, set price alerts and purchase tickets, the more they save. It’s a win-win!

TiqIQ is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store. During the app’s soft launch, each user swiped 40 times per day, on average.
