Time To Ask For That Raise? Maybe
A third of employers are open to negotiating salary raises for their employees in 2011, a survey from CareerBuilder finds. And if you’re changing jobs, the news is even better: half of employers will listen to negotiation requests from new hires in the coming year.
“While it is undoubtedly an employer’s market, many recognize the added responsibility workers have had to shoulder without the added pay,” Rosemary Haefner, Vice President of Human Resources at CareerBuilder, said in a statement.
