In Europe, Donald Trump Jr. Cedes Time Magazine Cover to Irish PM

In this case, two out of three is most definitely not good

Donald Trump Jr.’s momentous week of media coverage continues today with the reveal of a cover nod from Time magazine. With one important caveat.

While the President’s son adorns the covers of the U.S. and Asia print editions of Time, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has claimed those same-week honors for the Europe edition. At age 38, he is the country’s youngest-ever PM. From a reaction post by Joe’s Darragh Berry:

The phone call with Trump also comes up as a topic of conversation in the interview and Varadkar explains how their talk on the phone wasn’t their first time coming across each other.

“We have actually spoken twice. The first time was many years ago, on a different matter,” said the Taoiseach.

“It was a small thing. When he bought the [Doonbeg] golf course in County Clare, I was Minister for Tourism at the time and he had a planning issue which we were able to resolve.”
