Time Inc is determined to up its presence in India. According to The New York Post, Time Inc chief financial officer Jeff Bairstow said he wants to increase the workforce to more than 1,000 staffers by the end of next year.
The uptick would make Time Inc’s India headquarters its third largest, behind New York and London, respectively. Currently the office in Bangalore, India houses about 500 staffers.
This isn’t great news for Time Inc staffers here. They’re already on edge as the company prepares to move from Midtown to Brookfield Place in Battery Park, and the publisher recently began outsourcing jobs to Malaysia.
