Now that Time Inc. has restructured its tech operations—resulting in the ouster of CTO Colin Bodell and chief data officer JT Kostman—staffers are worried the publisher will shutter its Seattle office.
According to The New York Post, the Seattle office was set up in part to lure techies, but the staffing changes point toward an end. Kostman, who split time between New York and Seattle, is gone. So is Seattle-based vp Eric Schoonover, who left for a government job.
A source told the Post that Time Inc. president of digital Jen Wong, who added duties during the shuffle, is “already skeptical of any work coming out of that office. It’s just a matter of timing on whether they quit or the office is eliminated.”
