Time Inc. Honors Southern Living

The publisher's Magazine of The Year.

Time Inc.’s annual Luce Awards — which honor the best of Time Inc.’ brands — have been announced. The most covered Luce Award, Magazine of The Year, was given to Southern Living.

In a memo to staff about the awards, Time Inc. executive VP and chief content officer Norman Pearlstine praised Southern Living’s editor Sid Evans and former editor Lindsay Bierman.

“Southern Living is leading the way in redefining its relationship with consumers and changing what it means to be a magazine,” wrote Pearlstine. “Digital and social growth has exploded, helping to double digital ad revenue in the last 12 months. Newsstand sales and renewal rates for print have remained strong; innovative flip covers like Jennifer Garner are reaching a new generation of Southern consumers; and edit-supported brand extensions like a design network and a hotel collection are turning into profitable new businesses.”

The rest of the Luce Awards are below.
