Time Inc. Eyes Norman Pearlstine Successors

Big shoes to fill.

Time Inc. is looking to the future, and so the search for chief content officer Norman Pearlstine’s successor has begun.

According to Vanity Fair, two (white, male) frontrunners have emerged: Fortune editor Alan Murray and Time deputy managing editor Michael Duffy.

Pearlstine was named executive vp and chief content officer of Time Inc. in 2013. He previously served as editor in chief of Time Inc. from 1995 to 2005.

A Time Inc. spokesperson told VF that while there might be discussions about Pearlstine’s successor, “If you wrote that we made a succession decision for Norm Pearlstine, you would be wrong.
