Time for a Politico Correction: It’s 11:40 p.m.
At 11:40 p.m. Thursday – just three to four hours before many Politico reporters and editors rise and shine, they issued a correction to a Breaking News Alert on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).
Corrections of this nature are not commonplace for Politico – we can’t recall one of this type. But here it is: a technical glitch.
The mistake on Thursday at 5:18 a.m.: POLITICO Breaking News: Rep. Gabrielle Giffords has been released from a Tucson hospital, the AP reports.
