The Huffington Post takes a huge leap forward this week as 4,109,462 people connected using their Facebook account. Make your news more interactive by signing up to add a comment to news posts and share your views. Perhaps it had something to do with AOL’s $300+ million acquisition of the company?
Connect to Wikia using your Facebook account to discuss your favorite topics with fans that are equally as passionate; the application sees excellent growth with an additional 3,973,942 users. Sign into picture hosting site ImageShack; 3,805,214 people began sharing pictures using the application. Miniclip offers a vast selections of games that has the masses hooked; 2,440,788 users joined in on the fun.
With the Super Bowl this past weekend, we see a massive increase in both ESPN and Yahoo Sports connect applications. ESPN saw tremendous weekly growth as 1,815,667 users logged in over the past week with the help of Sunday’s festivities. Yahoo Sports saw quite a bump with 2,240,686 people using their Facebook accounts to discuss the big game.
