Create Your Own Comics, Memes With ‘This Is Sketchy’ From HuffPost

Illustrations will be added to the This Is Sketchy generator as news events occur

HuffPost teamed up with Oath’s Alpha team on a colorful way to mark the anniversary of the 2016 U.S. presidential elections.

The media site and the former AOL’s innovation and emerging platforms team teamed up on This Is Sketchy, 45 panels depicting pop culture and political themes—designed by HuffPost’s multimedia team—where users can add commentary through speech bubbles or captions to create comics and memes for easy sharing via their social media accounts.

HuffPost said in an email to Social Pro Daily, “This generator is an opportunity for users, regardless of artistic talent, to get political, share personal news and unleash their inner comic.”

Hashtag challenges—such as #TBT and #TrumpTweets—are incorporated into This Is Sketchy to help generate ideas, and HuffPost will mark the anniversary of the election of President Donald Trump with the #SketchThisYear hashtag.
