It’s Friday, so why not have a bit of fun. From the excellent site, Things of Random Coolness, which specializes in just that, we were pointed to the art project – slash – expensive product, the “Vlasemsch: Internal Watch.” What is it? It’s a regular watch completely covered in a band of leather. Can you use it to tell time? Well, if you have to ask, then this is clearly not the product for you. The answer for the rest of you is: no, you can’t. So are you going to shell out the $155 or what? Here’s the description:
The Internal Watch is encased in leather, rendering it non-functional as timepiece. The hidden watch transcends typical associations of status by isolating the emerging form rather than acting as a flashy signifier.
