If you own a tablet then you’re a retailer’s ideal customer. The average tablet owner is solidly middle class, college educated, and has money to burn. And he’s spending it, too. They’ve only gotten poular in the past couple years, but now over 20% of all retail purchases are made via tablets.
Vertic pulled together the following infographic with data from a number of sources. Some of the other details they gathered was that tablet owners spend about 95 minutes a day on their tablet and buy about 20% more stuff than those who don’t own tablet. They’re also more likely to go from looking at an item to actually buying it (higher conversion rate).
