The New York Times and The NYPD Are Not BFFs

The New York Times and the NYPD are fighting again. It started yesterday, with the Times publishing an editorial calling for a federal investigation of the NYPD for spying on Muslims, its dealings with Occupy Wall Street and its stop-and-frisk program, AKA stop-and-frisk-minorities. The NYPD didn’t like that.

Ray Kelly, in his infinite wisdom, replied to the Times’ piece by telling the New York Daily News that, “Sometimes it sounds sometimes like people are more comfortable stereotyping me,” which might be the quote of the year.
